About the Work

“It's was an honor” Kevin said, to be chosen by Jessica Hall from the American Bald Eagle Foundation to create "Challenger" For their new birds of prey Conservation Center and educational facility in Kodak Tennessee. The American bald eagle Challenger is now famous for attending stadium events throughout North America, flying over crowds and always creating an awe-inspiring spectacle as he sores above.. Challenger is the only eagle in the world trained to fly over large crowds at stadiums.

Kevin's "Challenger" sculpture is an 18-foot wingtip to wingtip and resides at their new 60-acre Habitat just completed in Kodak.

Kevin and Michelle worked with some of the same people they worked with from Dollywood, including Brian Dudash, who was working as general manager and design.

“I'm honored to do this project for the American Blad Eagle Foundation in Tennessee.

"Challenger" is an icon. I believe he is 34 years old now, and I am hoping I can do him justice by leaving a lasting legacy in honor of such a historic Bald Eagle.” ( Kevin said in an interview).
